Le Seignus is an unspoilt resort, established in the 1930s, located in the Val d'Allos in the Alpes de Haute Provence.  The area enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year and, with the pistes being between 1500m and 2600m, it has an excellent snow record along with plenty of snow cannons to keep the slopes in good condition throughout the season which lasts from early December until mid-April.

For those requiring ski school or private tuition, there is a branch of the École du Ski Français less than 100 metres from the chalet - we will be happy to help you arrange lessons with them.

Just beyond the ski school are a choice of hire shops for skis, boards, snow blades etc. - standard adult ski and boot hire costs around 80 for 6 days.

Le Seignus has cafes, restaurants and a couple of bars - if you buy enough drinks in one of them the owner might arrange for you to take a ride in a piste-basher!  You might also want to try the ice-driving school in Allos or hire a skidoo in La Foux d'Allos where there are also a couple of nightclubs.

La Foux d'Allos is less than 15 minutes away on the resort's free bus service and gives access to the rest of l'Espace Lumière with an additional 125 miles of pistes.  There is also a branch of the ESF at La Foux if you'd prefer to have lessons there.  La Foux also has a cinema, ice-rink, shops and plenty of restaurants and bars.

From Le Seignus, a short gondola ride or 5 minute journey on the free bus takes you down to Allos - the main village in the Val d'Allos.  Again, there are restaurants, bars, shops, post office, cashpoint etc. in Allos.
